Surat Thani Plant The Tha Thong Canal Conservation Project’s activities and the implementation of waste separation within the factory
23 June 2023 | The Surat Thani plant is proactive in promoting environmental conservation awareness among its employees. Consequently, they segregate waste within the plant premises and coordinate garbage collection efforts in the Tha Thong canal area, specifically at pier, to maintain the cleanliness of the canal. All waste generated from these initiatives is then deposited at the Wat Tha Thong School Waste Bank. To foster teamwork among students, the initiative involved segregating various types of waste materials, adding value to them, and subsequently selling them. The proceeds generated from this endeavor were directed towards providing lunches for school children at Wat Tha Thong School. For this waste collection event in the Tha Thong canal area, cooperation was sought from both plant employees and individuals from Srithammasit Co., Ltd. The combined effort resulted in a total of 22.9 kilograms of waste being generated from this activity.
