Project for Supporting Greenhouse Gas Reduction Initiatives (LESS)
The initiative named the Project for Supporting Greenhouse Gas Reduction Initiatives, formerly referred to as the Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS), aims to establish a voluntary activity framework. Its primary goal is to enhance awareness regarding the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the initiative seeks to recognize and commend individuals and entities that contribute positively by implementing measures to curtail greenhouse gas emissions. Such commendation will be conferred through the issuance of a Letter of Recognition (LOR). This recognition will hold significance across various sectors including corporate, business, social, and community domains.
On April 28, 2023, the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) officially sanctioned the GHRIP to support greenhouse gas reduction endeavors. The beneficiaries of this approval include the Phra Pradaeng plant and the Nakhon Ratchasima plant within the Tipco Asphalt Group. A total of four projects have been endorsed, all of which present strategies capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by an aggregate of 216.056 tons of CO2 equivalents.
