Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited is a major sponsor of the 5th International Conference on Highway Engineering (iCHE 2024) under the theme “Future-Proofing Roads for Asia and Beyond,” held from September 4-6, 2024, at BITEC, Bangna, Bangkok.

This event marks Thailand’s first collaboration with global organizations like the World Road Association (PIARC) and the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA), aiming to exchange knowledge and experiences among experts, professional engineers, academics, and industry leaders on future highway transportation systems in Asia. The conference focuses on developing highway infrastructure for future challenges and trends, such as urban expansion, digital technology, global warming, climate change, and aging societies.

At the event, Tipco Asphalt presented innovations and technologies over two days. The first topic, “Paving Future Roads,” was presented by Nila Solutions Co., Ltd., showcasing comprehensive software and drone systems for monitoring road construction projects and managing raw materials. This helps road contractors allocate resources accurately and manage construction projects efficiently. The second topic, presented by our business partner, Nikko Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., was “Asphalt Hot In-plant Recycling: Paving the Way for a Green & Sustainable Road Infrastructure.” This highlighted environmentally friendly asphalt concrete mixing technology that recycles asphalt concrete obtained from existing road surfaces. This reduces the need for virgin materials, minimizes waste, saves asphalt cement, and lowers energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. The asphalt mixing plant is highly efficient, durable, low-maintenance, and fuel-efficient.

This participation underscores the company’s commitment and readiness to drive the development of Thailand’s highway infrastructure to be modern, adaptable to changes, and support future economic and social growth. The event attracted over 1,600 participants from 45 countries across seven continents, reflecting the global interest in developing future-ready highway infrastructure.
